They ‘should’ slide on all the way so the clip can hold it in place, but it doesn’t it doesn’t slide at all and needs some persuasion with a hammer (or the like) whilst at the same time protecting the hub. If the manufacturers read this comment- please either do not paint the inside of the hex and/or make the inside diameter 1mm larger.
